Slaithwaite Christmas Tree Festival
We were very pleased to take part again this year in the Slaithwaite Christmas Tree Festival. We hope you had chance to go and look around the church and see our tree in all its glory over the weekend. Our theme this year was that of Rememberance linked to our work on the Christmas Day Truce. Children in school have been watching clips about the Christmas Day Truce and talking about this in lessons thinking about those who lost their lives in battle and those who continue to be in combat and civilian posts abroad at this time of year. If you have not had chance to see the tree then there will be an opportunity to view it at our Christmas Carol Concert at church on Friday 16th December. I hope you will agree it looks absolutely striking. Well done to all the pupils in creating the poppies which adorn it.
